Greetings to all our family, supporters and friends,

This prayer letter finds us in sunny (and windy) southern California.  I’m a little amazed when I hear some folks here call this, “Here in the Southland”.   Now, I agree that this is southern California, but it ain’t the Southland.  Yes, I said, “ain’t.  That’s a Southland abbreviation!

We are in Riverside, CA, which is just outside Los Angeles.  I have found here that there are more juvenile facilities around here that most know about. Of course, when the metropolitan area is somewhere around 11,000.000 souls, I guess one would expect there to be many.  At this writing, I don’t know how many there are, but I know of 11 that are here.  We’re not going to be here long enough to get works started in them, but we are contacting them, and are going to be in several churches here. Pray that the churches will see the need to do something in these juvenile halls (that’s what they’re called here) and that the doors will open to do something.

Indio is a town a little over an hour east of here, and the juvenile hall there IS open.  Pray for Bible Baptist Church; pastor Matt Nolan, in Cathedral City. They may take some of the work there. Also, pray for a brother named Chris Warshaw…he also hopes to be able to preach in that juvenile hall…he already has a ministry in one of the jails and has been doing that for about 5 years.

I’m going to keep this letter pretty short.  There’s one other thing I’d like all those who pray to pray about.  As most of you know, part of the reason we came out here was to get our trailer in the Thor of California shop for them to repair it. I don’t know if all of you know this, but they agreed to repair the crack that’s on one side of it, at no cost to us. However, they would not pay to bring it out here, nor pay for us a place to stay while it’s in the shop. But, there is a God in heaven who cares for his children!  He has brought us out here, and has found places for us to stay while the trailer is in the shop!  We plan to pull it over there this coming Monday, April 16.  For this we’d like all of you praying that the trailer will be finished (right) by April 30.  They said it would take about 2 weeks, but told us also to allow for 30 days!  We have a meeting scheduled in American Canyon, CA the first week of May.   American Canyon is above San Francisco, and the church near there that does have a prophet’s chamber already has it occupied during that time…so, we need the trailer by April 30.

Finally, brethren, continue to pray that the Lord open doors for us.  We still need meetings in the last part of July, and the middle part of August.  In July we could use one the 22nd  in Seattle or Spokane, WA area.  We could use one July 1 in Idaho, or Oregon.  In August, we could use meetings either in Idaho or Nevada the 12th and the 19th.   We believe, and know, that our Lord can work all these things out. We’ve seen him do things many times. But, we also believe that prayer touches the heart of God.

We do thank you for your prayers and all that you do for him.
