VICTORY FOR TROUBLED YOUTH
VICTORY BEHIND BARS

06/24/2016

Greetings supporters, friends and all the family of God…we thank you for your support and your prayers. Without your prayers we would not make it. Prayers open the doors to allow us in with gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, prayers open the hearts of the lost to hear that gospel, and your prayers help us stay safe on the highways. So, we do thank you for praying.

At the juvenile facility in Selma, where we go on Friday nights, a boy walked in with the others, and announced to me that he was a Buddhist. I didn’t say anything but offered him a Bible, and he took it. After I preached, he told that he had asked Jesus Christ to save him. So, then, I asked why he was a Buddhist. He said he was seeking enlightenment. I asked him then if he had read the Bible. He said, some of it. So I said, so you are seeking enlightenment but you’ve not yet read the whole Bible? He put his hand over his chest, and said, you hit me right in the heart. That’s what the word of God does. Now, the rest of the story…he wasn’t saved. But the next Friday night he got saved! Your prayers at work.

At the juvenile facility in Prattville where we go on Monday nights…I noticed a young man with a serious scowl on his face. It continued through the singing, and then while another brother was preaching, it continued through that. At invitation time, he got up, and he and five other boys came over to talk with me. I asked him, what are you mad about? He said, I’m not…I’m sad. I asked why? He said, I don’t know. So, I went through the gospel of Jesus Christ with them…showing them their lost condition and some of what Jesus Christ went through so we can be saved. They bowed their heads, we prayed, and when I looked up, he was smiling though he had tears streaming down his face. He told me he had just got saved and he was glad. In fact, all the boys at the table with me said they got saved that night. Our God is so good.

Please continue to pray for my wife. She continues to have ocular migraines. It seems they come about once a month with no warning when they will come. Please, please, pray for her.

On our pole barn that we hope to get built over our trailer, we still need about $1000. 00. If you can help with that, we’d greatly appreciate it. So there’s no doubling up on it, would you mind letting us know whether you intend to do part, or all of that. If you would call we could let you know whether it has come in, or not.
