VICTORY FOR TROUBLED YOUTH
7/14/2014
Greetings once
again in the matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are going on
for him. He’s worthy of all that a saved sinner can do. I’m so thankful
he found me in January 1982, and not only saved me, but called me to
preach the unsearchable riches of his Blessed Book.
I wish you’d pray for
a work in Bradenton, FL. We’ve been trying, for some time, to try to get
an answer from the staff there about whether there is an opening for the
ministry. It’s the Manatee Regional Juvenile Detention Center. We have
at least one church there that would take the work, if the door is open.
Pray that someone there will call me back soon with an answer. Here in
Alabama, we have the regular works my home church goes to: Monday
nights, Tuesday nights, and Sunday mornings 6 months out of the year.
There is a juvenile center in Columbiana, AL. That one, I’m pretty sure
I can get into on a regular basis. As of now, I know there’s no King
James Bible work in the place. Also, here in Alabama there are juvenile
centers in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa.
Since, November 1999 we have traveled this
country getting works started in juvenile detention centers from
California to North Carolina and all points in between and above. Our
ministry is changing somewhat. We will no longer be pulling our RV. We
will still be seeking to get works started in juvenile detention centers
around the country, but will mainly travel in the Southeast in general,
and Alabama, Georgia, Florida in particular. Why? My wife is unable to
continue to travel as we have been doing. She has had both knees
replaced, and is in need of a hip replacement. Riding in the truck is
REALLY hard on her. So, we will be traveling shorter distances to help
her. We are asking the Lord to give us a vehicle that gets better than
30 MPG and better than 40MPG if possible. We need one that is 4 doors,
and one we don’t have to push uphill. As of this writing we have about
$4000.00 given to help pay for one. We are looking for the exact vehicle
we need, believing we should pray even more specifically. And, if you
want to help us with this, send it to our regular support address,
marked “Vehicle for Ralph Stokes”.
Finally, we will be traveling less, but I will
be preaching more. The county jails here in this state have no regular
King James Bible work in them. I’m calling them as well.
If you have any
questions regarding the change in our ministry, please call me.
Our contact
info remains the same: Phone: 704 798 9906. My wife: 334 531 1440. (some
of you ladies could call and encourage her, if you want.)
